I spot welded once. That didn’t go so well… They won’t let me do that anymore. But we do have this new plasma cutter thingee I’m dying to try!

Well, between the cheerleader from LSU and the principal with Boston Ballet, you just pick up stuff. There was a time when I thought Betsey Johnson was our roomate.

Cal Hubbard (MLB HOF as an ump, though)

Another one is a stinking Yankee so we won’t mention him by name. Just think, “I am the luckiestiestiestiest man on the faceaceaceace of the earththththththt.”

LOL! Ok, I just had to google old Betsey there. Criminy. Whooooaaa there. Geez a loo loo. Look out! LOL How despressing… I’m gonna go eat some more stuff now. LOL

Very good.

Hubbard was the answer to both two colleges and two HOF (I didn’t say only players) Geneva and Centenary actually, he’s in three HOF, he’s also in the college football HOF

The others are:

Dave Winfield, Minnesota
Lou Gerhrig, Columbia
Frankie Frisch, Fordham “the Fordham Flash”
Reggie Jackson, Arizona State
Christy Mathewson, Bucknell (the football stadium at Bucknell is named after him)
Jackie Robinson, UCLA

Gah, I can’t believe I forgot Jackie. Reggie is another dang you-know-what so I claim a mental block about him.

NOT good for carving a turkey, OK? ;)

I’m just glad they weren’t at the same time!

As you might guess the Prima from BB was into ol’ Betsey and Vera Wang and your friend Ferragamo. The cheerleader was more into Lilly.

I should have been a priest!

Just think of Reggie as an Oriole.

That would be “YANKEE”, madam! :D

Why do you hate the Yankees?

You’re from Texas. I thought just Chowd’s hated the Yankees

Born and raised in eastern Connecticut…pure chowdahead country.

Like anyone could root for the pitiful Rangers :)

Z, I thought you were a Mets guy?

Greenwich? Cos Cob? Darien?

or Baja Rhode Island?

Guilford, just outside of New Haven

Been through there. Had a buddy who worked for UI and lived in Madison.

Ah, Madison. Arch rivals in High School. Almost as hated as the dang Yankees. Pretty area, could never afford to move back there. Derek Jeter bought the property across the street from where I grew up. The horror!

My goodness! I am called upon to defend my honor!

I was born and raised in New York City, and was a Yankee fan from the moment of conception.

That, of course, died when MLB decided to go on strike. I’ve rarely followed baseball since then, and no other sport has ever really attracted my attention.

The Army-Navy game, of course, is an inviolate exception! :D

S’ok. I still like you Z-man. I respect Yankee fans who were fans when they stunk (not very ofet, I’ll admit).

Man, we have buried young mister C’s rant, haven’t we?

Who? :D

Zaph…my first prized gift as a 10 year old was a 2 transistor radio my dad got me…I listened to my beloved Yankees at night and fell asleep more times than I could remember. My dad took to having to ration my batteries, since everytime I did that, I burned a 9 volt…and that was driving him crazy!
