confusion about final GPA

<p>I’m a bit confused… My guidance counselor said that my school does not use senior grades when calculating students’ final GPAs. Yet, I’ve read many posts on this site which indicate that the majority of high schools DO use senior grades. How is this fair? </p>

<p>I had a 3.4 UW freshman yr, (projected) 3.73 this year…what is the highest final UW GPA that I can possibly have?</p>

<p>Not sure, but school policies differ, so what your GC told you is absolutely allowed, though it’s unfortunate for those with upward trends.</p>
