Congratulations, Cleveland!

Not a huge basketball fan, but love it when the underdog (I mean, really, poor Cleveland) wins. Down 3 games and away at Golden State (where home team lost only twice this season, I think)?

Chicago Cubs… you are next!

Even DH isn’t a big pro bb fan but what an exciting finish and so happy for Cleveland!

I am so happy for Cleveland! I like LeBron and can’t imagine how this might feel for himl. Very emotional .Also, Pittsburgh and the Stanley Cup (I am from Pittsburgh originally) and the Dustin Johnson win today are great. I was rooting for all three of these outcomes . Don’t usually get so lucky! Go Cavs!

My H and S are watching tape delay. They will be disappointed.

Woo-hoo, Cavs! I love Cleveland, my hometown area for most of my life (still not far away), and am ecstatic! My only wish is that I had been downtown for this. We were in the area this weekend and considered staying another couple nights, but went home late Saturday night. Oh, well; it was still so fun! And, maybe we’ll go back for the rally and parade Wednesday.

What an exciting game itself, too!

Born and raised in Cleveland. Still live in area. Not an NBA fan. But it is nice to get the curse behind us. Happy for friends and family who are big Cavs fans. A lot of talk today in the office and congrats from people across the country on calls/emails.

My NorCal family is in mourning…

My S was routing for Golden State but said he is happy for Cleveland. He is a Laker fan and has been in mourning for his team for the last several years.
My H was never a sports fan or had any interest in following any one sport. He is an avid athlete but he found more joy in playing versus watching. When my S was around 9 he became interested in professional baseball and loved to collect cards and keep track of player stats. That eventually lead to my S loving basketball, the Lakers and watching on TV. Next came football. I watched my H become a fan through my S. Having my S come over and watch big games gives my H great joy. I love watching them be together.

I was born and raised in CLE too. So happy for the Cavs…and all of they very loyal fans!

Congrats, Cleveland! Heck of a game. I’ve been a fan of LeBron James since this documentary came out, More than a Game. It’s on Netflix, I think.

Another Cleveland native here, although I haven’t lived there since high school. I was a toddler in Cleveland when the city won its last sports championship, so even though I’m not really into sports at all, this is very exciting…much more so than the Republican National Convention there next month.

Big parade tomorrow downtown. They are projecting 800,000! Go Cavs!

Congrats Akron and Cleveland. I went to high school in Northeast Ohio and my sister and her family are still there. What a great way to spend a family reunion week … 3 miracle basketball games, which I normally don’t even watch. So fun to see Lebron bring back a title for Cleveland.

I have to be downtown Cleveland tomorrow for work. Estimates are between 800,000 and 1 million people. No rooms available in the city. Pittsburgh had 400,000 people last week for the Penguins parade (and the city has won multiple championships in multiple sports since the last title in Cleveland). A lot of businesses are closing for the day. Cleveland police can get some practice for the Republican Convention next month.

Official estimate is 1.3 million. No idea but it was a lot of people. Had to hold up the parade because the streets were filled with people. Congrats to the Cavs and all the fans of Cleveland.

So @saillakeerie did you make it downtown? I’m visiting my sister and once we saw the lines at the RTA station this morning on the news, we decided to bag it. My niece works downtown and says it’s crazy.

It was crazy watching it on the news. So. Many. People

@deb922 I did. But I got downtown at 5 am. Several people I know didn’t make it down. RTA was telling people it would be 4 hours to get downtown. One partner of mine rode his bike. Was crazy with all the people. Rally just ended. I will wait a little while for the crowds to thin out though I know a lot of people are saying overnight downtown. Still see confetti in the air outside my window.

My niece stayed at a friends last night who lives downtown.

5am? Long day! But a great one for Cleveland.

Well, I’m glad Cleveland is having some fun with this… but, next up, the Republican convention. Win some…

Happy for Cleveland, don’t care for LeBron and I was rooting for the Warriors, but I became a big Kyrie Irving fan during the series and was blown away by LeBron’s post game comments that didn’t even acknowledge Irving existed. Irving was huge and doesn’t get nearly enough credit.
