Connected Learning Program

Can someone explain this program? How selective is it and about how many people are in a project? Is it truly a good experience or is it just another time waster?

bump…

Anyone?..

It’s not selective at all; I’m not sure exactly how many people work on each project but I’d estimate it’s like 10 or so, depending on what it is.

I’ve never really gotten the impression that Connected Learning or any of the living-learning communities are that enriching at all, to be honest. I had some friends who were in a Connected Learning program focused on Indian dance, but it was just a dance team. I’ve never even heard about any of the other projects. I had some friends in a foreign language community last year and they seriously never did ANYTHING. Same with some friends who lived on the sustainability hall in Morrison…

I think the only people who actually take their communities seriously are the substance-free people. haha

Well, Im in the program for the fall and yeah there’s like eight people on each project. Pretty much you’re assigned to a project that you work on all year and theres periodic meetings. My group is seeking to get a charter school going. There’s a website up so you can see an agenda for the year: sites.google.com/site/educationalentrepreneurship

^^wow. that’s ambitious.
