Connecticut College??

Is this a safety for me? I realized im in desperate need for safeties and think im going to add it last minute. The thing is i won’t have a chance to visit the school for a tour, interview, and info session. Would connecticut maybe reject me because they would see from this that i’m trying to use them as a safety?

bump…

FIRST OF ALL: “good work experience with tennis” doesn’t cut the EC list, sorry. “US open ballperson”… sweet! Anyways, back to the subject at hand: connecticut college is b/w a safety and a good match, meaning you would probably get in, but you should still keep it as a consideration… it seems like a good fit for you.

yeah i’ve heard some nice things about it…and im starting to think amherst, williams, and bowdoin might not work out…so i need something to fall back on

also…could ballboying act as any sort of hook in the admissions process?

Why not use ballboying as your essay choice, if you haven;t decided to do that already? Anything can be a “hook” to the colleges, as long as you emphasize your love for whatever it is that you are making a hook. So, really emphasize your love for tennis. Write an essay on it, show it in your EC’s, talk about it in your interviews… make them know that you LOVE tennis! … also don’t forget to let them know that you’ll want to continue doing tennis-related stuff in college. =)
