<p>Hey, guys. I am posting this rather strange thread to tell you all of my connection with the Widener family. Yes, the family whose name is on the library at Harvard. Anyway, my uncle lives in Seattle and was the youngest Widener’s advisor or something. I was astonished. I spent a month shadowing him and I got to know the Widener very well. He wrote me a recommendation, but I don’t know if I should use it. It is very good, but doesn’t really point out anything substantial.</p>
<p>I don’t think the connection would mean anything substantial. If you have recommendations that represent you better, send those.</p>
<p>It means absolutely nothing, beyond the normal recommendation. Even if this particular Widener went to Harvard, it doesn’t make the rec special.</p>
