consequence of skipping a grade?

So i skipped 2nd grade, i was wondering if this hurts my application process for UF? should I even mention that I skipped a grade in the essays?

I would not mention it. I do not think your age will play any role in their admissions decision.

bump bump bump

They most likely will not accept you if you’ve skipped a grade.

I would not mention it.

Why ZZZZaaacck?

lol he’s kidding.
your career in elementary school has no bearing on college admissions. unless skipping a grade puts you at a disadvantage (for instance, you might be 2 years younger than your peers), theres no way to know and no implications relevant.

Absolutely makes no difference: second grade skipping. My d’s roommate will be going to UF (in honors program), and she’s 17 years old, won’t be 18 for almost another year. She lived OOS for awhile and skipped a grade, too. Other than her mom has to sign for everything because she’s still a minor, LOL, it has no bearing.

zebes

Thanks guys, now I can finish my application :)

I read that skipping a grade, ESPECIALLY in elementary school, severely hurts your chances. Sorry. :(

Invictus, just wondering…why do you think that would be?

I would think 2nd grade would be irrelevant at this point…

I was being sarcastic. lol
