<p>I’ve recently finished my first semester of college and received a failing grade in a statistics course. I stopped attending after the withdrawal period because of family circumstances and the unofficial withdrawal on my transcript counts as a failing grade.</p>
<p>I only took stat to fulfill my college’s math requirement. I’ll be retaking the course next semester. Given that I’ll be able to get a good grade in the course the second time around, the F won’t count towards my GPA but will remain on my transcript.</p>
<p>I currently attend a CUNY and want to transfer to SUNY Purchase, but this failing grade is making me uneasy 
I have good grades in general, so how does this weigh in comparison to the rest of my transcript?</p>
