Consequences of doing poorly on college entrance exams?

I did extremely poorly on my calculus entrance exam.

What are the consequences.

Will I have to take Pre-Calculus in my freshman year?

By extremely poorly, I mean a 72% on the first portion and 44% on second portion.

I took it on a really bad day lol.

Depends on your school. At my school, ALL incoming freshmen take the calculus exam, and they have a set score you have to get in order to take math classes. The test is out of 120, and you only need a 67 to get into Calc 1 at my school. I got a 65, which totally sucks, but I don’t have any calculus experience at all, so I’m fairly content with retaking precalc.

But honestly, it depends on your school.

You should check - there might be a way to retake it. I know that at my orientation they said there was some way to retake all the placement tests if you did badly.

I have orientation in 2 days, thanks for the advice!

kk, I could take calculus lol

You probably would end up taking remedial classes.

Nope, all standard college classes.

My life’s awesome.

hahaha what the freak? Then what’s the point of this thread, OP?

I didn’t know everything would turn out well.
