<p>What happens when one mindlessly resorts to inappropriate historical analogies one doesn’t understand?</p>

<p>One looks really stupid.</p>

<p>This is a good symbol of the punditocracy conservatism out there: it’s a lot more about shouting than it is about making sense or wisely adopting positions that will actually help our country and its allies including Israel.</p>

<p>And now John McCain/George Bush are claiming that Obama wants to appease Iran because he said he’d open up a dialogue with it under the right circumstances. In other words, Obama would do what McCain said he’d do a couple of years ago. Meanwhile, the Bush Administration sat down and talked with Libya and North Korea.</p>

<p>What happens when one makes such accusations that are at odds with one’s own record and statements?</p>

<p>One looks like a liar.</p>

<p>Presumably, though, you weren’t on national tv telling people that Obama’s prepared to be just like Neville Chamberlain. The guy should have at least done his homework even though he was just mindlessly spewing something that he wanted to sound learned and damaging to Obama.</p>
