Conservative schools for an English major?

I am looking for a school to transfer to after I am finished at community college. I realize likely all my credits will not transfer, but that is beside the point. I am not fussed about location. I also do not care if it is a public/state school or a private school. I would prefer schools that only look at your college grades. I blew the SATs, and I have withdraws and P’s on my highschool transcript. (The P’s are due to a mess up in the computer system after I entered public school). I have to withdraw due to my health the second semester of my senior year.

I would prefer a non-Christian school, but all there any well-known conservative schools that aren’t Christian?

The only real “location” requirement is they are in or within 30-45 minutes of a big city.

My SATs… well, let us not go with how bad they are. I am DREADFUL at math (that is the reason I am an English major), and I blew the writing portion because I didn’t think I’d need accommodations for my dysgraphia. I was wrong.

Schools that allow you to have an emphasis in creative writing would be preferred, but a plan English degree would be just fine!

Thank you for any help.

Some to consider would be Purdue, Utah, Bradley, Marist, Stetson and Depauw.

I don’t know if it fits the 30-45 minutes of a city thing, but perhaps Knox?

Davidson could be a good option, although retaking the SAT would help.

Thank you!

I’ve looked at them, and some of those look like serious contenders. I still have plenty of time. I do have to make a list of top contenders for a project for one of my classes this term, though. This really helps! :)
