Does Harvard start reading applications before 01/01?
I am trying to take a December SAT 2 test.
I already have the required sat 2’s and this is just for potential good score.
If I submit my app now, will there be a chance Harvard will read my app before December 22 (the date scores are released)?

I don’t know, but I can tell you that our daughter took her 3rd SAT II in January of her senior year and that was included in her application review.

Harvard allows score choice. Why not wait and send scores after you get the results? It’s well within their deadline, they’ll receive them electronically. They even ALLOW January and even February scores. Though they highly recommend you get the testing done by December.

However, my daughter had started her Common App, but not yet sent any applications. Harvard sent her a “hurry up” e-mail. I’m nearly sure they said they prefer to start reading in December.

Since you have not yet applied…why not “TBA” that last score? (or all of them if you might be REPLACING one for a different subject). Then…they have your app but can’t start reading really until they get those results. Then score choice and send electronically on the very day scores come up.

Don’t worry, you are FAR from alone on this matter.

I just realized that I misread the question so I deleted my response.

As for you actual question, my understanding is that Harvard begins their reading process Dec 1 for those applications submitted. It you are planning on another test and you are hoping they wait on your application then I would fill in the date on the application and they will know that a score is coming.
