Considering switching from Computer science & Engineering to Electrical Engineering or...

I go to university in Europe and I know this forum seem to focus more on America but the majors are of course the same on both continents so I decided to write here. I’m studying computer science & engineering but I consider switching to either electrical engineering or engineering physics. So I started off in fall 2017 and this far I have enjoyed the hardware courses a lot more than the computer science courses.

I don’t really know if it’s worth it though. I am admitted to a 5 year master’s program so I have free choice of master’s degree within my field after my bachelor is done after 3 years. So I could just stay in my program and choose a pure computer engineering masters instead of a computer science one. I can’t just switch major like you seem to be able to do in the US, I will have to begin all over again basically wasting 1 year of studies if i were to switch.

My biggest question is, do Electrical engineers with master’s degrees and Computer engineers with master’s degrees compete for the same jobs?
