Because I don’t really have any use for it besides gym membership, basketball camps, and books. It’s not mine anymore… my last paycheck from my first job that ended 3 years ago was exhausted a long time ago…I’m not starting any new vocation until the fall _.

So…any good Chem textbooks?

BIO-Cliffs (REALLY REALLY HELPFUL..got me a 5)

Okay…I’m kind of confused about this thread now…

Isn’t the title “Consolidated” book suggestions for AP with consolidated being the key word? Then, shouldn’t there be “one” collective list of books that most people prefer in each category (according to the majority of posts that got 4-5s) instead of having to dig through 14 pages of posts. What I’m thinking is, we should create a poll for each AP exam and the books most prefer will be voted upon. My two cents.

Good idea, but voting should be limited to those who’ve used those books and gotten a 4 or 5.

^^^^ isn’t that basically everyone that posts on here?

OK. i’ve been posting a smattering of posts about various self-studies so here is a compiled list of all the ones I am truly interested in and what books you guys recommend (please be concise. and i’m doin this because my mind spins when i try to get through all those posts):
For sure - US Govt, Euro
Likely - Eng Lang
Tentative (aka without my parents’ knowledge) - Human Geo, Macro, Micro, Comp Govt

thanks to all who respond!

p.s. for some of these do i not even need to read from a textbook throughout the year?

Good point ryan2288.

Tryin2Bcool, try reading all the pages before these, pretty much every subject has been covered, though there are a few instances of conflicting opinions.

Not sure if this is entirely relevant, but why is AMSCO for US History selling for around $150 on Amazon and other sites? I spent half an hour browsing various sites until I went to the actual AMSCO site, where they sell the book for $16.

I have no idea why it is going for that price… it definitely shouldnt be that expensive.

AP Calc: Princeton Review (tons of practice in class, this helped to explain alot of concepts in different ways, got a 4 on BC, 5 subscore on AB)
AP Language and Comp: CliffsNotes (we did lots of extra practice in class, but this definetely helped, got a 4)
AP World History: Princeton Review (teacher was lazy, we learned almost zip, and i crammed for a week with this book and got a 4)

Good luck to all!!

i know this thread is for books but there was a website i used for USH plus my textbook (the am pageant).
URL: apnotes.net

it highlights key terms so i just copied and pasted those into a super huge list and then, as i read through my text book, focused on those terms.

anyone know what to get for AP spanish language, its driving me NUTTSSS!!! tHaNk YOU!!!

what about AP Computer Science A?
plzzz, advice on prep books

I’ve heard Barrons prepares you well, but that seems to refer to AB?
I’m self studying this, and I’m afraid Barron’s is too hard for me to understand. I just want enough materials to get a 5 on the AP exam.

so i think iam buying Pr for ap calculus bc this year with the petersons book. SHould buy barrons as well??

I don’t understand what you guys mean by cliffnotes for the AP english language, do you mean the actual prep book from cliff for the AP or just cliff notes for different books? cuz i looked online for the prep book and it was published like in 1991 and they were out of stock …

can anybody find a cheap place to buy amsco us history? amazon is $60 and im not paying that much and b&n doesnt have one…
i heard it was good but i cant find it!

Yeah I had the same problem. Go here >>> http://www.amscopub.com/
It’s only $16 there =)

In terms of Arco for BC Calc (I’ve never used Arco before), which edition would you guys recommend? I just searched Amazon and found multiple editions & titles under Arco from multiple years. Also, this might be an ignorant question, but the AP Calc exam has BOTH BC AND AB components on it? Or is each class a separate exam?

Prep book for AP SPANISH LANG? Anyone?
