Possibly “self study” though the lists might get excessive.

Self-study would be the most useful category though.

And maybe when you say ‘Best’ you should say “Most Accurate”. For some, the best test might be the hardest test.

Best for independent study and best for self-study are synonymous. The last list I think should be added is “What not to use.” When it comes to the “Most Accurate” thing, I’ve made some changes to the lists that you might like.

If you add a review book to the list, include the appropriate letters as indicated by the legend, where applicable.

And yes, I just realized that a lot of the letters used for the legend seem randomly chosen, but, I assure you, this is not the case. Most letters are the first letter of a key word in the description.

If you add to the list(s), copy and paste ALL of the previous lists for easier access. Also, make sure to make the titles (“What NOT to use,” etc.) bold and underlined. You can do this by pressing Ctrl and B, then Ctrl and U.

Whatever, Can We Just Get A Master List Made???

They changed the format of AP Spanish Language this year and I think only Barron’s has a new book that reflects that.

How is the accuracy in the PR AP Calc AB tests? My teacher gave us some practice problems from some other book, but I just took a PR practice test and it seemed much easier than the practice problems my teacher gave us.

same here, the pr practice problems seemed easier than the past probs on the ap test

are ap tests only offered in may. because i am wondering why you would self study one and then have to wait all year to take it.

Many people have already started self-studying, and are taking it this May, and others are self-studying next year to take it next May. AP exams cover lots of information, so a year isn’t too much time.

What is the best macroeconomics guide? I find that CliffNotes is very unorganized and does not have an index. The graphs are also not well explained. Anyone have any suggestions?

Kaplan is pretty good. Other people seem to like PR and 5 steps to a 5 though.

AP French Language -
People in here have recommended Barron’s, and I just want to point out that it has errors with regards to “French” French. According to my mom, they’re things that could be correct in Quebecois. I don’t know if this is only in the book, or on the actual exam too, just wanted to throw the warning out there. Other than that, it’d pretty good. Those errors are just driving me crazy as a fluent speaker, though XD
(But, seriously, call it Quebecois if that’s what you’re going to be testing! It’s just as annoying as when my supposed “Spanish” class teaches us Mexican forms and idioms instead of Spanish ones -.- )

Those with PR for Econ, did it help you much in your opinion?

I did the Barrons MC practice for Calc, it was so ridiculously freakin hard…but because of that, the MC on the actual test was a piece of cake (or so I think..lol)

petersons for calc is excellent.

it actually has every problem EXPLAINED unlike princeton.
princeton just gives u answers, petersons explains them fully
its also kinda funny to read if u like that stuff

Which version of Barrons is recommended for Physics B? Is this the one:

http://www.amazon.com/Prepare-Physics-Advanced-Placement-Examination/dp/0764123599/ref=sr_1_1/104-8867308-6280745?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1178761804&sr=8-1

That one is somewhat old (2003).

"petersons for calc is excellent.

it actually has every problem EXPLAINED unlike princeton.

Actually, my princeton book explained every practice problem for every practice test really thoroughly. Maybe youre thinking of an older version. I bought that mega-huge one for only 19 bucks…so it was definitely worth it.

However, the initial explanations were tough to grasp…wording and order was strange. Also, there were different formulas than what my teacher had explained, so that may be a reason why I would get confused. Otherwise…decent book.

Physics B: AP Advantage
http://www.amazon.com/AP-Advantage-Physics-B/dp/1413804918/ref=sr_1_1/103-9234123-7183857?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1178796941&sr=1-1

Barron’s was good practice for the brutal AP calc AB test this year as it had some of the most hardest (albeit well explained) problems out there.

AP advantage was very concise, to the point, and integrated well with my physics textbook (Giancolli).

DON’T BUY BARRON’S AP SPANISH. It is a joke. They got the format for the listening wrong and spend more than 1/3 of it on grammar when there’s only 1 15 minute section on EASY fill-in-the-blank.

I’m lovin’ Princeton Review for APUSH. Barron’s, not so much.

yes christalena i must have been talking about an older princeton; i just flipped through someones in school

in that case, go princeton or petersons probably
