are APs harder or easier than SAT II subject tests?

Think about it this way. SAT IIs, you have an hour to answer maybe 60-80 questions. That’s it.

But APs…
three hours, at least 2 hours, including a multiple choice portion AND several essays.

I personally think APs are more challenging.

What’s the best book for the following subjects?

which one for ap english literature/

no idea. go take a look through Amazon’s reviews.

they are mixed reviews for AP English Literature. Cliffs is good but outdated, Rea and PR don’t have enough reviews.

idk how Barrons statistics is part of what NOT to use, but it’s also part of best for complimenting class + practice tests

well I’ve never taken AP English Lit and never will, so I wouldn’t know. Sorry.

ivyleague, keep in mind that the list is subjective. In the end I’d just say pick a book and go with it. Maybe it’s hard to understand, but if you’re taking the class at the same time you’d be able to get it better? This isn’t related completely, but I have Barron’s AP Physics C, and if I wasn’t taking the class I would have no idea what the heck Barron’s is talking about, but since I am I do, and it sort of helps.

any more prep for for English Lit?

well most of these books have their own side of telling about history or Gov.
but every science book that is listed are good for Ap classes

I need to know the BEST for:
AP Calc BC
AP Art History
AP Statistics
AP US govt
AP English lang

what is best for ap calculus AB?

I hear Kaplan has a lot of errors for Chemistry.

hey what about Ap European history?? i really need help choosing the right book.. pLease

for ap us gov’t & politics i highly recommend 5 steps to a 5. for my class i had one of the lowest grades b/c i never studied or read the textbook. the day before the exam i spent 10 hours basically memorizing the book & i got a 5 on the exam.

for ap chemistry i recommend princeton review. my school uses it & 98% of the ppl who took the exam got a 5.

The “5 Steps to a 5” books are really good. I would definitely recommend the U.S. History one and my friend said the Psych one is good, too.

Regarding APUSH which book recovers the material pretty well? I’m not all that concern with the DBQs (my teacher does a really good job give us practice) but I’m worried that by time May comes around I might forget some important facts from the beginning chapters.

Any suggestions?

APUSH - use AMSCO. 100% recommended. (rea is good too)

what would people suggest for AP Physics B?
