I’ve always wondered how I should prep with the Cliffs AP Language book. There’s not much to read (besides the practice tests). So is the main prep with practice tests?
Thanks.

APworld I had the same problem with the book. Really the practice tests are what you should use. The multiple choice section of the AP Lang exam should become your best friend because the essay grading is so subjective. Rhetorical strategies are key for the AP lang exam. I would practice prompt after prompt and write many essays in addition to the practice tests. The prompts can be found on collegeboards website if you register as a teacher.

Is the Lit test self-studyable for a 5? (i.e. work through barrons/rea/cliffs, read a few books, practise essay writing)
Has anyone tried it before?

Reading the Priceton Review for 6 hours the Saturday before the exam was why I got a 5. Practice questions are essential though and our teacher gave them to us throughout the year which was probably the best thing she did. I’m taking US History right now and need to pick up a review book before mid-terms. The AMSCO seems to be the recommended one on this thread, but on Amazon they only have it used. Is there somewhere else to get it new?

AMSCO just recently started selling to students. Here’s a link to their online store.

When I add that to the cart it says price…N/A. I continue checkout and all it does is give me a shipping cost and put “N/A” next to the price of the book. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong when I order?

AMSCO has 700+ pages. How can anyone stomach that?

its fairly large print and many of those pages are practice questions

yes it is zach

I thought the Princeton review for AP Biology by Kim Magloire was excellent. I never took a class in AP Bio, but I read over the book just before the test and made a 4 with no other studying. Princeton Review’s SAT II book is not as impressive, however.

Which is better for Calc AB - Arco or Princeton Review?

guys guys…I HIGHLY SUGGEST EVERYONE BUY 5 STEPS TO A 5 FOR EVERY TOPIC…out of every book ive looked at, that is by FAR the very very very best book to own for every AP

How come their rating suck?

how come it seems to help me review enough to get a 5 on 3/4 of the AP exams i took so far

^^ Thats justb your case. Those series really suck, according to their ratings ata amazon.

How come everyone at this board has lost their ability to type?

have u ever tried them, or are you just relying on the reviews…if it worked for me who is to say it cant work for you.

What APs did you use them for?

micro macro US were the ones i got 5’s on and Physics B was the one i got a 3 on…but its physics so idc
