Consolidated book suggestions for AP

They actually had enough info for US? Or was it the class that helped you more?

seemed to have helped me review enough

so what is the best book for Calc AB?

i dont like using books for math, but idk i like kaplan

Does the Princeton Review econ book have enough review material to get a 5? Is buying Barron’s in addition to PR really necessary?

pr is enough. no need for barrons.

well looking at PR im not sure if it will be enough. I dont have barrons yet so I wont know. I just know that previous test takers say that barrons and PR are strong in different areas making it an awesome combination of books.

i’m trying to decide between getting kaplan and pr (or both?) for physics C…i know a lot of people recommend pr but has anyone tried kaplan? (even better if someone’s looked at their 2006 edition…)

id get a bible for physics C

PR is definitely better for physics C. It’s really all you need to study.

what about ap spanish lang?

does anybody have any opinions on whether it is necesary to have the most recent versions of ap prep books, specifically chemistry. there is a 2000 version of the PR review book in the library. Do you think it would benefit me to purchase the newest edition.

I don’t think that it’s really necessary to buy the most recent edition (unless if the format of the test has changed since then).

Also, I just got the Smarty Pants Guide for APES and it looks really small. Is it enough? Should I get PR to supplement it?

i used Bio for 2001 and it was fine…nothing really changes in 4 years anyway

The Barrons economics, Ive read the Microecon section and didnt think it went into anywhere as much detail as the book by menkaw. Unless Econ is really easy, I wouldnt count on Barrons for teaching you much if anything.

PR is great for Barrons.

can you give me the link to the book by menkaw?

Essentials of Economics 3rd edition, Gregary Menkaw. Its an actual book but most people on here swear by it. It is much more detailed and gives real life examples so its an easy read. The 2nd edition is prob the same price as a review book.

Is the Mc-Graw Hill AP bio book by Mark Anestis any good? Thats what I am using.

Anyone doing Comparative Government. Anyone have any suggestions? Remember, it’s a new exam this year!
