Ap English Literature and composition
Ap Human Geography
Ap Calculus AB
Ap Spanish Language
Ap Comparitive Government
Ap Physics B

Could you tell me what books help get the highest scores? I really need help. Thanks!
az1698 is invisible

^
for AP lit, you need to practice, there is really nothing to do except write and vocab…so,read, there is a reading list on collegeboard, i thought it helped me so much..(being a nerd)

human geography I use PR for self study, and Barron for extra information.
calc i use be prepared for ap calculus , you can find it on the first page of this thread, and i also use PR.
Spanish, read, gain vocab, know grammar, i dont think any prep really helps, its the knowledge you gained over the years.
AP comparative gov, I use a bok by ethel wood? search on amazon, its on th efirst page of this thread, too. get the newest edition.
Physics B, my friend used PR,

pay attention in class, thats what i learned..and those prep books are optional, if u get everything in class and practice, u will be fine…

I cannot get AMSCO for US History (since I never buy review books, I just borrow them from the county library and the libraries don’t have AMSCO), so what other brands are good for US Hist?

Maybe I’m doing the search wrong, though…do I just type in AMSCO US History on amazon? >.<

can someone help me out - I took AP Euro last year and crammed it not sure on my grade but this year I don’t wanna cram and I already bought

Ap US History: Princeton Review

from what I’m seeing it isn’t that good also why is AMSCO so good

also any good books for

Ap LAng and Comp

Are Cliff’s Biology and PR Chem good to use in conjunction with class and learning new material?

I only read the first page, but are these books only for preparation of the exams, or the class?

Lol I’m not concerned with the exam, but because I have a C- in AP world right now…it’ll help if there was a shorter, easier guide of information…like basically a “Book” that helps you in your AP class itself. Maybe we can get a list on that?

(For example, I just saw a couple people say for AP Bio Campbell’s or something was good to breeze through the class. Something like that.)

Campbell’s Biology breezing through is not worth it. Get Cliff’s!

theres a free CliffsAP Biology PDF at [AP Biology Notes - NotePadd.com](http://notepadd.com/ap-biology)

What book is good for Physics C: Mechanics?

thanks in advance,
ansar

Can someone verify that the 2009 version of PR’s BC calculus book is as good as its 2008 edition?

Oh sorry- doesn’t come out until DEC.30

Want something that will most likely guarantee a 5 for Micro/Macro economics? (Assuming you read the books and know most of the information).

"Economics for Dummies
Despite the title, if you’re going to try to ace the AP Macro and Micro exams with just one book, I would have to say this is the best choice I’m aware of. Not too hard, not too easy. Although it has no practice exercises, your understanding of all concepts covered – and in the way the College Board likes them covered, and using their terminology – will be most meaningfully strengthened by an extended acquaintance with this volume. My colleagues and I have been repeatedly astonished to see how well done it is; it contains all the graphs, charts, and equations that you’ll need. And though the book doesn’t make one mention of the AP exams, honesty compels me to list it here because I regard it as the most comprehensively helpful prep guide for these 2 tests. The only disadvantage I can think of is that you might feel less than kingly with this title under your arms. But are you interested in results, or what?
ISBN-13: 978-0764557262 "

I suggest these 2 together is a very good combo! Economics for dummies and PR…

Discuss.

PR itself for Economics isn’t too shabby. I read both the night before the exam and did well.

Which is best as a compliment for an AP Euro class? What about Compsci? French?

I cannot get AMSCO for US History. Is Barron’s good enough?

ansar people say for AP american history PR is better than barrons

Ok, sorry.

Thanks >.<

@ world history takers

how useful is peterson’s? because i haven’t heard of it ever =P i have…kaplan, barron’s and pr. no textbook D=. hmm.

hi guys, i dont know what to buy for AP European His.
Although people here suggested Modern European History, I couldnt find a picture on google of the cover to go out to the bookstore.
Is that book popular or do I have to buy it online?

Usually bookstores will only have the study guides such as Barron’s, Kaplan, PR, but not actual “textbooks”.

It is recommended that you go on Amazon.

Usually they don’t have it in their stock, but they host sellers who have a copy – that’ll usually take about a month to deliver, depending on where you live.

But then again, there are those who manage to self-study just with the study guides. …

I might be doing that with world =P

Hi all,

I’m currently in AP Chem and I was wondering what book I could get to help me understand the material a little better. (If it helps, I’m using Zumdahl.)

Thanks!
