What’s the best for Econ (don’t know if it’s macro or micro - the course is US Gov and Econ), Gov, Physics B and Eng. Lang.

Econ - Princeton Review
Gov - REA Crash Course
Physics B - Princeton Review or Barrons (prob PR over Barrons)
English Lang - Cliffs or Barrons (either one is good)

I used:

Kaplan for Psych, APUSH, Chem, and Bio
PR for US Gov’t and Eng Lit

Princeton Review is AMAZING for US gov’t. Literally felt like I wasted a whole year attending class when all I needed to do was read the very short review in the front of PR. PR was also great for Lit – I also found it very amusing and engaging. Definitely felt like I was learning something.

Although I got all 5’s in the subjects that I used Kaplan for, I do admit the review was challenging. Kaplan is not as entertaining as PR and was slightly confusing and very vague at times. I bought Kaplan for Physics and Calc but didn’t touch them because they were just so vague and jumbled and pretty much unhelpful.

Anyone want to update?? More than one book can go to one subject.

what do you guys recommend for ap micro/macro, ap chemistry, ap spanish, ap english literature?

and for the books for 5 steps to a 5, which version do i get? the 2010-2011 version or the 2012-2013 version?

@NspiredOne:
I used Barron’s for AP Chemistry and got a 5. I also had a textbook, but it is possible to learn most of the material straight from the review book given a month or two. The actual test was fairly easy compared to the practice tests I took. Stay away from PR on this one, as it does not teach well at all.

How are the 5 steps to a 5 for chem? and 2012-2013 version right?

and
what do you guys recommend for ap micro/macro, ap chemistry, ap spanish, ap english literature?

Yes, latest version. I thought PR was much better for chemistry.
The list is right above if you want to know what they recommend. It looks like PR for macro/micro, chem, I can’t help you with Spanish, and do you really need a review book for English Lit? Just read a lot of quality literature and learn to write well in the class.

is Princeton review still sufficent for self-studying AP us gov without supplements?

Is this a good setup? I looked off of the lists, and then picked the books based off of that.

Lang/Comp-PR, 5 Steps to a 5 (500 MC Questions)
Psychology-Barrons
US Gov-PR

This is a lot of information to filter through, so I was wondering if you guys would just make your recommendation to me?

Chemistry
Physics B
Econ (Micro-class, Macro-self study)
English Language
US History
Calculus BC (Very strong teacher)
Psychology

What do you guys recommend in terms of textbooks that cover the entire AP World History course? I was looking to self-study this one by getting a textbook and an exam prep book (Princeton Review/Barrons) but I’m not sure which textbook to get.

Barron’s or PR for AP Psychology and AP Statistics?

Barron’s for both.

For APUSH, do you guys recommend Crash Course or AMSCO? I was going to go with AMSCO, but Crash Course seems to have really good reviews.
And also for Eng. lang, barron’s or cliffsnotes?

Thanks in advance :D

Crash Course should be replaced with Direct Hits. DH is the best, I read it the 2 days before the exam and got a 5.

What books should i get?

AP Human Geography (taking the class, but the teacher was like “i hate the book” and i will prob be the only one taking test)
AP Chem
AP US Hist
AP Lit
AP Calc AB

THANKS SO MUCH in advance.
