@tigerman333 I have Crash Course for Macro and a lot of my self studying friends said they got a 5
@darkcrescendo I got a 5 and I used PR. It depends on what the person likes better
What review book is best for self studying AP Human Geography?
Any good most up to date Macro and Micro books?
I have Barron’s for AP Human Geography. The course is not very hard, and the book is not very thick. I think that Barron’s gets the job done, as the exam consists of mainly vocabulary.
Used Barrons for Comp Sci, Biology
Used John Green’s Crash Course vids for World History and US History
any recommendations for:
AP Calc BC
AP Macro/Micro Eco
AP Comp Sci A
AP Music Theory
AP Physics C Mech
AP Lit
@noobita I have Crash Course for AP Macro and with Krugman’s Economics, it’s really good.
@noobita I agree with @darkcrescendo . The Princeton Review book for AP Macro/Micro is poorly organized and does not cover both APs fully. I would go with Crash Course; I’m getting it because the PR one is not doing it for me.
Guys, Need good study guides recommendations for:
- AP English Literature
- AP Spanish
- AP US Government
Shooting for 5s. Thanks.
Any suggestions for:
AP US Gov
AP Physics C Mech
I don’t have any recommendations, but this pdf and bestapbooks.com might aid some of you.
@Optimyst and @pinklinks, I took AP US Gov sophomore year, and I believe that the Princeton Review book is a great study aid. It tells you what you need to know plus a little extra. Also, the book is organized well, and the practice tests are similar to the real test. I still do have some minor problems with the book: the FRQs in the practice tests are way too difficult and it tells you to memorize a stupid amount of course cases. I suggest for the FRQs you go online and find the College Board FRQ questions and practice off of those.
Even though I do like the Princeton Review book, I know people who got 5s with Barron’s and 5 Steps to a 5. I, personally, do not like the way the Barron’s book is organized.
Any recommendations for
AP US Gov
AP Spanish
AP Lang
AP Physics 1
My recommendation:
APUSH: AMSCO (read cover to cover if you can while also taking advantage of the ), Barrons flash cards are good the last week or two before the exam with friends (I shuffled mine). Adam Norris’ period review videos were also extremley helpful. All of these resources combined contributed to me getting a 5.
@DisneyAlways I’ve heard that Crash Course is good for US Gov.
Any recommendations for:
AP Physics 1
AP Calculus AB
AP Language and Composition
AP US History
I’ve been looking at Barron’s for AP Calc, but idk if I want to take BC, as I’m completely lost in AB already.
As for APUSH, I heard AMSCO is good, and my teacher has been assigning homework from that (using online PDFs), but would anyone know where to get a physical copy? I haven’t been able to find it.
For AP Lang+Comp, would it be necessary to get one? Is the test hard?
Thank you.
@HallsofIvy My teacher said to get CliffsAP for AP Lang but to be honest I don’t think that AP Lang is the type of class to get a study guide. When I got the book, most of it were practice tests (which was quite a letdown but I got a used version so ).
- AP Physics 1
•AP Physics 1 Essentials
•PR
•aplusphysics . com
- AP US History •AMSCO or Barron's You can get AMSCO off of their website •Use all of Adam Norris's videos and fill in the blank video guides at apushreview . com
- AP Calc AB •PR (Barron's have not yet updated their book for the new exam)
- AP Lang I haven't taken this course, but most of my friends say PR and CliffNotes work well.
Any suggestions for AP Bio?
Lots of people on here have been saying cliffs and 5 steps for a 5 are good books so im gonna study those @ilackoriginality
