<p>Would knowing someone who could give Harvard extremely discounted construction services be in a similar field of financial support (instead of millions of dollars in capital, giving millions in labor)? </p>
<p>I’m not saying I do or anything, it was one of those questions that made me scratch my head a bit.</p>
<p>The problem is, Harvard probably has a committee that oversees the bidding for construction projects by various construction companies. Thus, the company seeking to offer Harvard significant discounts must win the bid first, using an estimate that does not include the discount. Only then would the company be in a position to give that discount as financial contribution to the university. If the company wins the bid using the discounted price, then it wouldn’t be considered a contribution at all, now would it?</p>

<p>They do, but unfortunately your bribe would make them overlook your inability to conjugate the verb “to do” correctly, not accept you. Sorry :(</p>
<p>People can be a little harsh here sometimes. Ace is simply using British locution, which refers an institutional entity as plural (which makes some sense given that an institutional entity is comprised of a collection of individuals). Were Ace to have said, “Do they accept bribes,” the locution would haved sounded more familiar to the American ear.</p>
