Not sure if this is in the right place, so please move if needed.
Applications are in and the waiting game begins. However, one of the schools D applied to did not have an admissions counselor for our region when we visited in the fall. She had a meeting with one of the faculty members in the department she would like to be in, and sent a follow-up thank you email after our visit. Since then, there has been no communication between them.
Should she send another email to the faculty person as to say thank you again and letting the faculty member know
that her application has been sent for EA and she cant wait to hear back?
Would that be frowned upon or would that show the faculty she has a high level of interest that they may pass along to admissions?
I would be more concerned that the faculty member would pass along the stalker’s email to security.
In all seriousness, she sent a thank you to the faculty member, so unless there is a legitimate reason to contact him/her, she should lay off.
If she has admissions questions that cannot be answered by the website, I’m sure that there is a general admissions email address listed.

@skieurope - wow, really?
No. That part was tongue in cheek. The part about not bugging the faculty member any further was real, though.
LOL, ok I get it.
The original meeting was a very productive, pleasant exchange, I would have thought the opposite would have been true, and they would actually like to hear the prospective student was excited about applying, but I guess you are right, if they received something from every kid it could be annoying.
