Continuing transfer thread

So, I got turned down from Cornell and UPenn. I can say with the utmost conviction that it was due to their need-aware admissions’ decisions, and I was and still am highly distraught and shocked. I considered myself a strong applicant, clearly accentuating my passion in the physical sciences, yet here I am.

Still awaiting decisions from Stanford, Yale, and Johns Hopkins. I am trying to be sanguine, however, the decisions from those two just ripped my confidence into shreds. I am attending Stanford in the summer, am hoping to continue there for the rest of my undergraduate period.

Since I am an international student there were only the ivy leagues, Stanford and Johns Hopkins who offer need-blind admissions to transfer students (plus international transfer). Rest all other schools: Georgetown, northwestern, Vanderbilt, NYU, ‘all’ the schools in the UC line didn’t. So, I barely had any choices left with me. I ‘will’ get accepted to Rutgers-New Brunswick, no doubt about that but I am not sure how much they will support me financially. Even if they do, I am skeptical about continuing my education there. I want to go to Stanford because they have the best opportunities in the field of astronomical sciences.

Plus how accurate is it that international students would be given less preference in transfer admissions (plus aid). My research on the internet has shown all but squat results.

What do I do if things don’t go my way? I would really appreciate insights and advice from students/elders with expertise or helpful opinions.
