<p>does anyone know if there is a walgreens or some sort of convenience store around campus?</p>

<p>There’s a supermarket in University Village, and I think also a beauty products store in there too. For actual pharmaceuticals, most use the USC Pharmacy, attached to Commons.</p>

<p>walgreens by car on Wilshire…24 hrs. along w/Rite Aid, 7 Eleven, Ralphs, etc. around that area</p>

<p>um…does anyone know where the nearest music instrument store is? the closest i heard was a Guitar Center in Hollywood. i ask because i’m screwed if i break a guitar string, and i’m not about to pay $10+ at the bookstore for them…</p>

<p>I don’t know of any large music stores in the area, but you might want to buy strings online. I agree, those strings at the bookstore are a big rip-off. The big stores seem to be in the Hollywood area, but there are a few independent stores. <p>There is a Dollar Store at University Village, at McClintock & Jefferson?, where the BofAm is. It sells lots of small things at good prices. There’s also a Staples & Office Depot on Figuroa as you head toward the financial district, within a mile or two of campus. We were able to pick up some stuff for son’s dorm there–fan, lamp, milk crate, paper, mouse, etc.
I’ve heard that Ralphs near campus will shuttle students back to USC campus free if they buy at least $20 worth of things from them.</p>
