Converting from 7.0 to 4.0 scale, is it just proportional?

<p>at my school we have a 7.0 scale…yes strange, I know</p>

<p>I have a 6.8/7.0 [basically all honors/ap classes with 4 As and 1 B a year on average]</p>

<p>would this be a 3.8/4.0 on unweighted</p>

<p>or is it a proportion</p>

<p>6.8*(4/7) = 3.89 [weighted on a 4 point scale]</p>
