<p>Been offered acceptance to Pitt w/ Honors and 10k a year. Also considering Tulane in New Orleans and University of Texas (Austin). Interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Also have family in PA. Aside from these 2 factors, tell me why I should go to Pitt.</p>
<p>You need to visit the schools and decide which school is best for you and your family’s budget (tuition-wise). There has been plenty of posts and threads about how great Pitt is and how great their medical programs are.</p>
<p>I agree. I don’t think you need convincing. I think you need to do your due diligence, like anyone else facing a decision.</p>
<p>Well if you’re pursuing a career in medicine then Pitt is the obvious choice, especially with that nice scholarship. Do some research about the UP School of Medicine and UPMC. They are among the elite in the country. You’re not guaranteed to get in UP School of Medicine (extremely competitive), but there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in medical related internships, shadowing, volunteer, and activities.</p>
