What’s whipping cream? I’m making a cake and can’t find it at the store. Is it related to heavy cream and light cream? because I see those…

Its heavy cream.

or at least that’s what I use.

Whipping cream is just heavy cream that has been beaten (no…not physically hurt lol. It’s been whipped up with a whisk).

If you can’t find whipped cream, just buy heavy cream and beat it yourself. But you might just be looking in the wrong section. Sometimes, you can find it outside of the milk aisle. Like sometimes it’s with the pies in the frozen food section.

oh so whipping cream = whipped cream?

yeah whipped cream

you can get them in the mousse tubey bottles

i got a chocolate one and just filled my mouth up with the moussey tubey bottle thing.
Ok i don’t know how to describe the bottle.
It’s like, you know hair mousse? the bottle for that? and the thing is all foamy and stuff? well whipped cream is a much thicker and it comes out like the hair mousse (from the mousse tube thing)

I LOVE whipped cream. I could probably eat an entire can by myself. And it’s fun to spray on a hard surface and spread it around and play in it with your hands!..or maybe that’s just me :D

Gee…wanna have a Playdate? I’ll bring the whipped cream and we’ll play at your house?

can you send me some whipped cream via FED EX please?

No you don’t really use the whipped cream that comes in cans for cooking. You use the heavy cream and whip it yourself, or there are containers of whipping cream. The canned stuff is too light.

I like it best sweetened and flavored with a small amount of Vanilla or Calvados…yummmmmm

I like it best on top of THANKGIVING PUMPKIN PIE!!! Yumm :p

I thnk whipping cream has stabilizers in it, unlike heavy cream, so that it hold its form better once whipped. You can buy both of them in the dairy aisle of your grocery store, next to the milk.
