They certainly do! I also make meat-filled (or chicken-filled) smaller dumplings called pelmeni. I donāt bother with sour cream or buttermilk or butter in the dough. Just an egg, some water, a splash of olive oil, a dash of salt, and mix flour in until the dough becomes firm and rollable. Leave it resting for a while before rolling out. There are pelmeni (aka āRussian ravioliā or āUkrainian ravioliā, lol) molds sold on Amazon to speed up the making process. Kind of like this:
