In making a fruit crisp, what would be the difference between using old fashioned oats versus quick ones?
Thanks

old fashioned oats will probably take longer to cook and i think they’re bigger too

Old fashioned (sometimes called rolled oats) oats will give the crisp a better texture. They’ll take a little longer to cook but have more flavor, release more starch, and are more nutritious.

Ok In that case do I have to modify anything else in the recipe? In other words, I can’t really just substitute one type for the other I guess?

you’re baking, right? then i think you could use either one.
