<p>HI! I’m interested in Scripps, especially the Core, but I’m a little confused.</p>
<p>When do you take Core I, II, and III? Do you take Core I freshman year, Core II soph year, and Core III junior year? Or do you take I during 1st semester, II during second semester, and III during 1st semester soph year? Can you take the Core whenever you want or is it timed in a certain way?</p>
<p>You take Core I first semester, Core II second, and yes, you guessed it, Core III third semester (aka first semester of sophmore year).</p>

<p>I don’t think you can take it whenever you want. You pretty much have to take it in order starting from freshmen year. Some transfer students or students who come in for the second semester take Core out of sequence, but they are an exception. Plus, I don’t think you would want to take core with a bunch of first years once you are a sophomore or junior.</p>
<p>No, Core must be taken in sequence, one per semester, beginning your first semester. The exceptions are transfer students and the rules vary depending on what semester you transfer (I believe that second semester transfers take Core 2 followed by simultaneous Core 1 and 3, sophomore transfers take simultaneous Core 1 and Core 3 followed by Core 2, and junior transfers are exempt from at least part of the sequence…I may be wrong on any or all of these, especially the last).</p>
