Cornell 2014 ED-ers!

I thought so but my counselor said you didn’t really have to

^ Does your counselor know the meaning ED? lawl

If you don’t withdraw your apps after getting in ED your denying other applicants a possible spot for those schools.

yeah I don’t think you’re required to withdraw your applications, but that’d be a jerk move not to.
you’re making people on the waitlist wait :[

Yeah I just thought of that. I guess I will withdraw them if I get in.
Thanks

“*By submitting your early-decision application, you are acknowledging that you fully understand and agree to the conditions of the early-decision plan as explained in the Cornell viewbook. If accepted, you agree to withdraw any other college applications and pay the enrollment deposit as required. You understand that Cornell University reserves the right to withdraw an offer of admission if the conditions of the early-decision plan are not met.”

Hopefully Dec.11th I’ll call the schools and tell them I need to withdraw my application.

lol samee O_O

i don’t want to be admitted anymore.

Then call them up and tell them you’re withdrawing your ED app and changing it to RD?

Does anyone know around what date did last year’s adcoms give out the decision date? I know that it’s been speculated (and “confirmed”) that it’s the 10th, but until Cornell releases the date officially, we are just speculating at the most.

We had this discussion, dude. Read. The. Threads.

here’s another version of that timeanddate countdown for all of us to lose hairs and braincells over.

[Full screen Countdown](<a href=“Full Screen Countdown to Dec 10, 2009 2:00 pm in San Jose, California”>Full Screen Countdown to Dec 10, 2009 2:00 pm in San Jose, California)

seriously, shuais. otherwise you could be taking a spot from someone who really wants it.

and malan, you don’t have to be so rude.

I just got an email from Cornell asking for my 1st quarter grades. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I am applying ED to their engineering school and I am guessing they wanna take a look at my math and science grades. Mostly, have A-'s/ B+'s on all those classes and hope its good enough for them.

Just send it only if they send in an email I guess.

Ahh, I applied ED to their engineering school and didn’t get one =/
I’m so nervous, my stats weren’t spectacular [3.7 UW GPA, 2230 SAT and 800 Math/720 Physics].
21 Applications for Cornell Engi ED from my school, this really sucks…

I’m not trying to be “rude”, it’s just that it seems like a lot of folks come on and expect to just have other people recap the discussion for them instead of going back and reading it themselves.

Wow! 21…and for ED?! You were the one who said you went to Stuy, right, Bioblade? I’ve heard that school is insane, I wouldn’t be surprised if Cornell decided to throw a bunch of acceptances your way.

It’s good to hear that other people got the email as well.

I asked this in the other thread, but have applicants to schools other than ENG get one of those “requesting 1st quarter grades/AP scores” emails?
