I think Cornell’s been the most friendly and lenient with missing materials since their ‘materials processing’ and ‘application evaluation’ teams are completely separate. The former has been very friendly and always willing to reply to emails and even allow sending documents directly over email. What a contrast with Yale - never replying to emails, never confirming anything on the phone…lol
Haha @YonceKnowles … I’m a big fan!!
My financial aid to do list is slowly diminishing
Is anyone experiencing the same?
I’m just waiting on my student W2 to get processed.
& Does anyone know anything about articulation agreements?
I wish we had more CHE folks on this thread. I’m shocked to be the only one. ::sighs:: this wait is killing me!! Thanks everyone for sharing …This actually does relieve some stress!
According to last years thread people did start hearing around the 14 – 18 of April!! I’m as hopeful as could be at this point! Good luck everyone!!
I have a feeling some of the awesome folks on this thread will hear back next week! >:D<
@CHEhopeful15 I also wish that decisions will be coming out next week! But someone said last year’s deadline was March 1st, which is half a month earlier than this year’s. So…
I haven’t even submitted IDOC yet haha. My father runs an architectural firm so the taxes for his company don’t come out until later. If im accepted to Cornell I will probably have to accept the admissions before I even know my financial aid.
@Heli824 I’m sure you’ll be fine. I’ve been told the financial aid process has nothing to do with the decision.
@puncherkid Even though the deadline was March 1st last year, some of the applications were sent in for review on April 2nd for CHE and those applicants (some not all) heard back by the 15th.
Perhaps your decision date had less to do with the application deadline and more to do with the when your application is sent to the admissions committee for review? (I hope this is the case)
-My application was sent in for review on 4/2.
Just curious did anyone’s application get sent in for review around 4/2?? :-SS
Thanks for your replies
I believe mine has. @CHEhopeful15
@Coriander23 @villuhfc I just tried the transeval, and the wording is a little different for mine at the very bottom. The whole thing is the same, except for right at the bottom where yours said: “Our records do not show you as an accepted student in CALS.”
Mine says: “No transfer credit evaluation is available.” Also at the top where is says Welcome and then, Your Major mine says Your Major: Animal Science in green writing.
I’m not sure if the second difference is something that you guys had and just didn’t put in your posts?
I’m also a little unsure of if I should be excited or dissapointed in the change at the bottom. If they don’t have an evaluation, does that mean I’m denied?
So apparently they don’t have my final high school transcript… But I am 100% sure I sent it because I put all the forms/documents into one package. My high school is on spring break and won’t be back until Monday. I hope this doesn’t hurt my chances of getting in, especially cause it’s rolling admissions…
@ CALSbound I think thats a really good sign. You should try logging in to housing.
Would you mind posting when your app was sent for review and your stats if possible?
@CALSbound To an extent, you can think that you’ve been accpted. Congrats!
@puncherkid Thanks, but I’m not celebrating anything until it’s official [-X !!
@Heli824 I’ll post as soon as I get my official decision, as I can’t spend much time on here at the moment…OK? :-/
@CALSbound Yeah, that would be great if you posted when you submitted your application, and when you submitted your midterm report. It may give us an idea of a timeline. Thx.
@CALSbound - Congrats!! You’re in
Mine just updated today too, it now says my name and major. Hooray!
Edit: I can also log into housing now—I think decisions will start rolling out soon for everyone, especially those in the contract colleges (GT’s from ILR have heard back and it looks like transfers in general will start hearing back from CALS) so keep your eyes on your inboxes!
@Coriander23 when was your application completed?
Other CALS applicants- have your transeval pages changed?
Both of the people who had updated transeval pages are in Animal Science.
Is anyone able to apply for housing? Usually if your able to login for housing its the first sign you have been accepted.
https://living.sas.cornell.edu/live/apply/apply.cfm
I wasn’t able to login, let me know if you guys have better luck!
@Coriander23 Congrats!! Rock on Animal Science! Unfortunately I still can’t log in to housing, but I don’t think that is a bad sign.(?)
Good luck to everyone else, I hope you all see your major’s show up soon too.
Interesting, I wonder if they are going through applications by major? Also, congrats to CALSbound and Coliander23!
@CALSBound A lot of people who apply dont have the housing updated until after they get an official acceptance.
