Cornell 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

Just to make sure, CALS is College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, isn’t it? Is there a transfer evaluation for CAS by any chance?

If anyone decides to check their housing, via this link

https://living.sas.cornell.edu/live/apply/apply.cfm

let us know if you are able to log in or cannot get in (Access denied).

It will help future applicants when they inevitably view this thread in the fall/next year.

Are they still going to admit more animal science transfers? if my transeval is still empty does it mean I am rejected?

@OrangeJ Looking at your history, your application was not sent for review until pretty late so I wouldn’t worry.

You are so dedicated to this thread. @puncherkid Good luck!

@Heli824 - Sorry for the late response—I submitted all the required documents in early March (mid-February if you disregard the final high school transcript), but didn’t get the “application sent for review” message until a week ago.

It seems like they release decisions in batches (possibly alphabetically by major), and I know on previous threads there were posters that didn’t hear back until May and June and were still accepted, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Rooting for you guys!

@Coriander23 Oh god I hope its not alphabetical! Then I would be almost last! That would be excruciating D:
Also, don’t AEM applicants usually hear later anyways? Or am I just making that up in my head?

@OrangeJ Last fall 32 transfers enrolled in CALS. I kind of doubt that only two of them were Animal Science! (Besides, I don’t KNOW that I’m in yet, it just looks like it…Hang in here, and wait for the good news!

(My app was also in in late Feb.)

Thanks for all the support. Yup, mine was just sent for review last week. I submitted my common app and documents mid march but they just marked my college transcript as received last week.

@CALSBound only 32? I seem to recall the number of accepted transfers for CALS was closer to 300.

@Moooon Thank you and wish u good luck too!

I’m just curious. What does everyone mean by trans eval? :expressionless: Is this the application status log in page where it shows your materials have been sent in for review?

@CHEhopeful15 https://transeval.cals.cornell.edu/
I think this is useful only for CALS applicants.

Oh ok… Wow your up? This is all I think about ::sighs::

Actually I’m in St. Louis now. It’s 12 am here.
Don’t worry too much! Decisions will be coming out

@Heli824 - Hopefully they’re doing it randomly, but if it really is alphabetical, at least you’ll be ahead of all the viticulture and enology majors! And I think non-GT AEM applicants in the past traditionally heard around May, so you’d be right about that.

@puncherkid you can put me down for ILR

Congrats to those who got “accepted” through the trans eval! I’m so happy for you guys.

Is Cornell still releasing its decisions every Tuesday like last year?

@puncherkid thanks for your dedication to this thread and words of comfort.

@NoMoreDenials I feel they might even start on Monday! I’m hoping to hear by the 15th. Again, the only thing we can do is wait as of now. We should all just try to focus on our classes. (I know it’s hard!)

Good luck everyone!!!
