@puncherkid Mine says this: Access Denied (403) --The website hostnotfound is unable to accept your credentials. You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. If you continue to have problems please contact the website administrator." Should I be worried?

I am actually hoping to not receive my decision until early May. Based on the thread for last year’s class, AEM applicants who heard around April 21-22 were all rejected (except for one). All those who heard in early May were rejected. However, the sample size was pretty small so it might not pan out that way. Could be done in alphabetical batches or some other method, making last year’s results just coincidence.

Here is last year’s list for AEM people. Notice the dates for rejections/acceptances for the people who answered. Again, sample size is so small that it very well could mean nothing.

banker92 - AEM (4/22 REJECTED)
Challenging - AEM - (4/22 REJECTED)
chemistryking - AEM - (5/6 ACCEPTED)
Cyrano723 - AEM - (4/22 REJECTED)

Transfer21994 - AEM - (5/13 ACCEPTED)
wellletshope - AEM - (4/22 REJECTED)
William95 - AEM - (4/21 credit eval; 4/22 ACCEPTED)

5/6 of April responses were rejections. 3/3 May responses were acceptances.

@qlrp2012 That’s really weird… I encountered the same problem when trying to log in with a public computer just now, but no problem logging in with my laptop. Try to use another computer?

Engineering appears to also be–the later you hear back, the better. Based on last year’s thread. Again–purely speculation.

Honestly trying to analyze the statistical data from last years threads is useless because the sample size is so small. Plus there isn’t an accurate proportion of GTs.

Anyone’s transeval page has changed?

Nope, what about you?

@villuhfc Actually, I think the only thing we can infer from the last two year’s threads is that this year Cornell has fewer applicants, for we have much fewer folks on this thread- nevertheless, this is nothing more than a subjective speculation.

@Heli824 No… :frowning:

@puncherkid don’t worry. Decision hasn’t been made yet. I think the most reliable way of checking if a decision has been made is by checking for your pin.

No. I would say it’s about the same.

@Heli824 you’re right… all the communication guys are still waiting for pins, as far as I know.

Although sample sizes are small, they can potentially give insight into the behavioral patterns of the admissions people. The low sample size provides lower confidence levels, but statistically, it is more likely than not that the trends mention hold some truth. Again, it’s about probabilities. So anything can happen.

@xs0857 @puncherkid Got it! Thank you!

@villuhfc Of bigger concern than sample size is the lack of any true randomization. There’s very likely some sort of bias imparted on data from CC. Most likely self-selection bias. Small sample sizes can be dealt with (as you said, larger confidence intervals); a non-representative sample cannot. But who knows?

Hey I’m from St Louis too!! Haha

I check this thread more regularly than fb lol XD
