Cornell 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

@lolomgwtg I reply to this thread more regularly than fb

@puncherkid it’s a sad truth

Well i’m fine with that… I don’t have much time wasted on fb anyway, but spending time on this thread at least does me some good.

hello guys, well this is my first time writing on cc. does anybody know how long it usually takes for admissions staffs to review an application? cornell received all of my application materials in mid-february. so its been more than three weeks since the “application sent for review” thingy appeared on the website. Yet, i have never received any notification after that. btw I am applying to AEM.

@transferboy92 I believe you’ll hear back by the end of April.

@puncherkid thnx. but i’m assuming this is a bad sign… b/c it’s taking too long…

@transferboy92 The vast majority of people have not heard anything from Cornell yet. Dont worry.

Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s been freaking out about this. I’m sure we’ll all be fine guys, just relax and don’t mess up your current grades and stuff (like I’m currently doing…)

Does anyone know if we receive our financial aid package at the same time as our admissions decision? If not, how long after? I have at least one other school that needs a decision by May 1st, so I’m hoping to have all of the information available to make a decision.

Honestly guys, this waiting made me lose any hope of admission… Lol

Anyone for ILR?

Everything is green-ticked but I can’t see/find anything about ‘sent for review’…I might have to call them to be sure

Enough lurking this post. I applied as ECE from a CC in Houston, TX. Really hope to get in and share a quality lunch with you guys.

Great luck to everryone and I plan to stick around here

It took a while for the “sent for review” message to appear even after all of my requirements had been checked off. I think admissions officers have to manually update the portal, so there’s often a delay between when they receive something and when they actually acknowledge they have. I’d give it another week before calling!

Applying to CAS as a history major from a top 35 university. Hoping all our decisions come soon!

I’m pretty late to this thread, but I applied to CALS for biological sciences and am still waiting on my decision. I’m surprised that there is such few bio majors, I thought there would be far more competition.

@gnarlytransfer I’m biology and society if you count that! In the previous threads, there were never that many bio majors compared to like AEM or IRL.

Applied AEM, did the tactic that they talked about earlier…got my PIN. Decisions available @10AM on 4/21. Terrible sign if what the earlier poster said earlier.

You guys…Cornell is just rolling admissions and having an early decision date is not indicative of a rejection. Please, speculation has me anxious and upset. Your decision could just be available earlier cause you got everything in earlier…
