Thought – the trends from the previous years could be partially attributed to the time differences needed to review applications. Easier decisions (both easy acceptances and easy rejections) would come first logically because the decisions are made more quickly. Decisions that need to go to committee or be reviewed by additional counselors most likely take longer. I’m no admissions counselor, so I don’t know how the process works. But this could contribute to the notification trends. Honestly have no idea how it works at this point–this was just a thought.

@YonceKnowles I sent my materials in a few days before the deadline, but my professor didn’t complete his recommendation until a week ago so I guess technically my application has only been complete for a week.

Also, a friendly FYI for future applicants…don’t try the ApplyYourself link. I tried resetting my password last night and it came up with an error page. I ended up receiving my email almost an hour later than most of the GT’s I know, and my official Cornell email had a totally different PIN. I don’t want to sound paranoid, but I’m pretty sure they can see people trying to access their application and while they won’t explicitly do anything about it, it doesn’t reflect too well on the applicant if they’re still trying to make a decision. (Sorry to be a buzzkill haha)

Was everyone accepted today? That really makes me nervous about 4/21 now…cause they have to send out rejections…
they didn’t accept everyone today. but from past threads seems like the 21st will be the rejection day for us…

seems like most people who were accepted to CALS today were GTs.
