So Cornell only releases decisions on Tuesdays? Is this something we all know for sure?
@CHEhopeful15 Historically, it has been Tuesdays & Thursdays. But if it’s one thing I’ve learned for sure the only person that knows something is the admissions counselor(s). Lol
Yea. That’s for sure.
How many people have met admission counselor(s) in advance, before applying?
I know it was strongly recommended on the CHE transfer admissions page.
Can everybody sign up for the meal plan using APPID? http://living.sas.cornell.edu/dine/mealplans/apply-for-a-meal-plan.cfm
Yeah I can log in with my app id
The resourcefulness and sampling we’ve done should seriously get us all admitted.
@rendevous I can log in and once I proceed, it gives me a net ID, but I highly doubt that this means anything.
@qlrp2012 You got a NetID?!
@BluLegacy Yeah once I click the “proceed” button, a page asks me to confirm my information by providing my NET ID, but this Net ID cannot be activated for some obvious reason (because I am not admitted-- at least yet).
Can everyone get NET ID this way?
I can. I’m pretty sure everyone can. It’s just your initials and the numbers following that is part of your app15-****** number thing. The second part of your app ID. Obviously can’t be activated yet because I’m not admitted. It doesn’t mean anything.
Honestly, lol…this is too funny. I’ve never been so engaged in a college admissions process before. Everyday someone has found another little loophole…if for nothing else, if I ever apply to Cornell for grad, I know how to get my decision months in advance, haha.
Only a few more days or weeks for everyone best just wait it out now
I am applying AEM and my transeval updated to my major this afternoon. Does this mean im in?
Congrats! You are in. Are you entering as sophomore or junior?
If we get into Cornell can we take summer classes and start early? Or do we have to start in the fall?
@xs0857 Im entering as a sophomore… Definitely don’t want to get my hopes up at this point, I still want to wait until the official decision! But thanks
Is there a trans eval page for Engineering majors? i see that no one wants to answer this question?
@brownkid786 honestly, I can’t even find the trans eval page for CALS using Google. I got it off of this site haha. The engineering one might be hidden somewhere on Cornell’s site, but there might not be one for engineering at all.
Guys, just wondering, has anyone still gotten rejected with an updated transeval page? Also I still don’t seem to be able to get my pin D:
https://transeval.cals.cornell.edu/ is the link
I’m a little concerned about my application status now. I got an email saying my high school transcript was missing, even though I’d sent it in, so I sent in another copy and emailed them about it - it turned out it was because my transcript only listed two years of high school education. I told them that is indeed my complete transcript, since I exited high school at 16… they said in that case they would need my GED.
I don’t have a GED, I have a california high school equivalency, which you get by taking a test called the CHSPE. It only has legal force in california, but out here, it is a diploma, and the other privates I applied to haven’t had a problem with it. I mailed them a copy of it. After waiting a few days I emailed them again since the materials site hadn’t updated, asking if I should fax it to get in below the deadline. They told me to do so since they didn’t have it. Now I’m concerned they’re just throwing it in the trash since it’s not a GED…
