Cornell 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

Accepted, got my decision this morning! :slight_smile:
Congratulations to those who were accepted today!

To the folks who didn’t get in, I’m sure you will do great things elsewhere and there’s always next time.
Keep your head up!

@CHEhopeful15 Congratulations :slight_smile:

@CHEhopeful15 Congrats!

Hey guys, I know this is a very difficult and sensitive time for everyone, and I DO NOT want to stir things up. I do not know what my decision is at this point, but I just found out that I have a Cornell ID number from the student center website. On another note, I could log in on the new students website successfully and fill out some forms from a new student to-do list on that website using my applicantID and Cornell ID. I actually submitted a health information form and got an email of confirmation from Cornell saying ā€œlook forward to welcoming you to Cornell.ā€ Honestly, this is VERY weird, and I wouldn’t tend to think of this as some kinda sign until the official decision comes out.

I just wanted to let y’all know, and again, I DO NOT want to stir things up.

How did you find the ID number?

I was able to do the same thing after reading your post just now. I don’t think that this is any indication of acceptance or rejection. I am an applicant for USC as well and, from what it seems, the USC-equivalent of Cornell’s ā€œStudent Centerā€ is not any indication of application status. For the sake of sanity, I wouldn’t take this too seriously…We can have those rejected check whether they will be able to do the same. What I did was log on the site using my Cornell ID and password I use to check the status of my application documents. I can send an image of what it looks like if you want via email/mssg. I think this site matters once you are assigned an ā€œadviserā€ because it means they have a spot for you in that specific program. In my case, I have not been assigned.

On another note, does anyone know how late Architecture, Art and Planning decisions are made?

One another note x2, I still haven’t submitted my IDOC (my bad lololol), is this a major concern?

Cheers,

I logged into the student center website with my applicantID. Then I clicked into ā€œDemographic Dataā€ under ā€œPersonal Information,ā€ and it is shown on the top of that page.

I can’t login on the student center website with my app15 id. I also have no pin or formal decision.

also an econ major, have you got your results? Did you try the whole"reset pin" thing?

Well my demographic data lists me as an ā€œAlien Permanentā€ for some reason… I was born in the states lol. I hope that doesn’t affect anything

Are you guys selecting ā€œGuestā€ when you log in? If so, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t mean anything and I believe someone already when through and dismissed this theory regarding anything related to ā€œGuestā€ log-ins.

I’d have to say it doesn’t mean anything. If for no other reason, simply because you’re assigned a new ID as a student.

Yeah I can log into when I do guest, it doesn’t mean anything. My essays for Cornell were garbage compared to my essays for other schools.

Being off-topic for a bit, I had a friend get accepted into the Hotel school today.

Also, I just want to ask again if anyone knows where in the order of release does Architecture, Art and Planning usually falls into (whether it’s usually one of the first school to notify or last).

Are we allowed to take summer/online classes if we are admitted?

Can someone please post the official acceptances/rejections for this thread?

@puncherkid

@applenana omg I’m dying!!! I hope I could make it to the Hotel School too

@YonceKnowles you can even if you are not admitted…

Does anybody else’s demographic information list them as ā€œAlien Permanentā€?
