spring semester. Not all Cornell colleges/schools enroll transfer students for the spring semester.
lol sorry @UniversalSnip for fraying your nerves. Just gotta relax and focus on finals! I’ve been weirdly calm in this process and I dont know why, lol. What college are you applying?
@UniversalSnip I think I just had too much stress this semester with too many classes on top of college applications that I’ve just hit a point of zen lol.
is anyone still waiting to hear back from ILR? I called the office to find out when they’d be done and they said they’d be done with all the decisions by the end of this week, but I haven’t heard anyone saying Ian called to tell them they got accepted since like last week. D:
@cawledgeobsessed I’m still waiting to hear back from ILR too. It’s weird that they told you all the decisions will be out by this week. Judging from previous threads, some people were still hearing back in May. It seems like a lot of people were getting acceptance calls last week and all I’ve seen so far this week are rejections. I’m starting to feel like I’m the only who hasn’t heard back
@winniex17 i think last year there was a problem with the commonapp and thats why they were finished later. Ian actually told me last week that they would be done by the end of that week but on saturday he responded to an email saying they hope to be done by the end of this week.
Thank you guys for keeping this thread so constant with conversation. I’m a prospective ILR student as well who was denied for this past Spring. Really hoping that this 2nd application pushes me through. I’m a bit nervous!
@cawledgeobsessed@winniex17@jmeltz94 I was starting to think I was the only ILR applicant who hadn’t heard back, it’s nice to see there are still some out there. It definitely would have been nice to get a phone call last week about an acceptance, but if that call eventually comes it’ll be well worth the wait. It seems like everyone who hadn’t received a phone call was rejected today, so not getting a portal decision today was definitely not a bad thing. While there is no way to be certain, I would like to think that admissions wouldn’t delay sending out a rejection today if the decision had already been made. The most likely scenario is that our applications are still being evaluated or a decision was made today. Hopefully some more phone calls start getting made tomorrow, and some more good news starts to flow out.
@eve1204@Transfersquared@transferjay Sorry to hear about the news, sometimes it’s puzzling to see who does and doesn’t get into ILR. You guys were all strong applicants and just remember 2-3 more years of those grades will mean you can get into pretty much any law/business school.
Sorry to everyone else who was rejected today, I was shocked reading the stats of some you guys who were rejected. It seems like you pretty much need to build an orphanage to get admitted to AEM as a transfer.
Rejection! Oh well. If I have to go again next year or semester, I will - with all my suggested courses then.
I’ll post my stats and the rest of my college results after exams in the middle of May! Now that this anxious period is over, I’m going to concentrate so much better. Good luck to those still hanging in there! Wishing you the best decision (an acceptance).
