I got my rejection next Tuesday last year. Hopefully we’ll have some good news this time.
I got my acceptance into Duke a few hours ago! So I think I will most likely be going there if I do’t get into Columbia or Brown
@jtranxferman did you request an early notification date for Duke??/ what major did you apply for? Waiting to hear back from them, their my top choice but I thought all decisions would be released the 15th
I applied to Duke BME as a junior and am not hearing anything back from them too.
@jtranxferman Congrats, I heard they accept very few junior transfer applicants.
@Collegeboy2014 @badooki Funny story with Duke. I got a financial aid package notification at about 1 through email and of course that only comes with acceptance but I got no acceptance letter so I called the financial aid office and after a suspenseful few minutes of being on hold they found out that someone with the same first and last name and birthdate as me was in the regular decision pool and got accepted and the system sent it to me because my middle name was lexicographically greater than his, and I’d find my actual decision in a couple of weeks. So I was bummed. And then an hour later, the admissions officer Solomon called me independently to tell me I had been accepted and he didn’t even hear about the financial aid mishap! It was a very up and down day lol. I don’t know when everybody will hear back but that’s what happened with me.

It’s possible, if I got accepted into Cornell I’d probably go tour both Duke and Cornell before making a decision

@Collegeyadayada Oh I see. Well from a computer systems perspective, that was a very edge case so I wasn’t mad when I heard it. Like what are the chances of the two people with the same first name, last name, and date of birth in the same year’s applicant pool at the same college?

Good luck to everyone hearing this week! Since it’s May and schools like Penn are releasing decisions soon, I imagine Cornell will have news for everyone soon enough
