Cornell 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

Accepted to CAS! Guys, will my admission be pulled if my Spring 2015 grades were poor? I handed in my midterm report to Cornell and my final grades were bad.

I think it might depend on the applicant. In the letter I received in the mail, it basically said that I was accepted on the condition that I receive As and Bs for courses in progress. However, it didn’t mention that on my online acceptance.

@Moooon Planning :slight_smile:

Accepted into CALS! Congrats to everyone else and good luck to those who have not heard back yet!

Wow what a happy day for decisions. Congratz everyone!

oh okay. Are there any cases that the acceptance letter wont have any conditions?

I’m sure there are and I’ve even heard of people still being accepted after falling below the requirement. However, I don’t know your situation so I can’t really make any conclusions

OMG Congrats!! I wonder how many people are left un-notified…

I still have no pin…

CAS applicant btw

Does the e-mail always come a day before the decision?

@ShunnedTransfer No. The email come after the decision is released online, which is usually after 10 am on Tuesdays. People just check their pins through the forget button.

@GRANBYsyztem I am CAS too. We have made this far already, does it mean we at least past the first few rounds of selection?

CAS applicant, still no pin. I’ve given up.

Accepted to CAS!!! Cornell is my only acceptance and now I’m slightly moved lol

Is there a Facebook group for transfers?

@justTryIt Hello there, I see a lot of information science major this year. I, too, am coming from NY community college and heard that one guy from my school got accepted to CALS information science in April, along with me. Considering that CAL information science only has about ~50 students, this is pretty interesting.

@villuhfc One guy in this thread said that there is a secret fb group where he will add us if we message him our fb ID.

Wasn’t notified of any decision release…looks like I’ll be going to Georgetown instead!

I just got my grades from the Spring semester, do you think it’s too late to send them in to Cornell as part of the application? (4 A+s and 2 As!!!)
