Cornell 2nd short essay Q's???????????

<p>the essay question is
consider the academic programs in the school/college u indicatged above. How will you utilize them to further explore ur intended major or field of interest, or general academic interest if you’re undecided???</p>

<p>so i’m applying to the school of architecture.
so for this one should I say like…
okay i’m going to take the architecture program and become an architect???
How am I supposed to write 250 words out of this???</p>

<p>I dont understand. How did you guys do???
please help me out. I’m desperate. x/</p>

<p>I went to the cornell website and read their course description, but they are extremely brief and I dont get anything out of them basically…</p>

<p>be like… i love buildings. buildings remind me of life–then go into some abstract surreal bs about how buildings are like your family and they define you as a person. end with a picture of you hugging a building, and talk about how you will donate to the important charitable building funds, and ur architecture major will help you decide which buildings are big and beautiful enough for you to donate to</p>

<p>ok guys…here’s the synch…in the first one u explain WHY u like a subject (I wrote abt quantum theory and superstring theory) and in the second one u write abt HOW cornell will help u learn this…There has to be a continuity btwn the 2 essays…also…please don’t give a list of all programs at Cornell…sure it shows that uve done ur homework, but try to make it personal…remember the essay is supposed to speak abt u</p>

<p>there is no need for a lot of continuity. you can just write about WHAT YOU WILL DO ONCE YOU GET IN CORNELL. period.</p>

<p>Mine didn’t have much continuity. You can make both essays about whatever as long as they address each prompt.</p>

<p>well…thats what was my impression when i did the supplement!!!

  1. they ask u abt ur academic interests…the assumption is that u will pursue that interest at Cornell!
  2. if that is what u will do at Cornell, then they’ll know how thay can help u buil on the interest and develop it into a profession.</p>

<p>so i think the 2 essays are related and have a common aim…
u might wish to look at it my way or urs…the choice is urs :D</p>
