cornell aem switch major??

What is stopping someone from applying to Cornell’s agricultural and life sciences school as a bio major (around 20% accept rate?), but then switching to AEM (10% acceptance rate) before enrolling?

Is this possible?

You have to apply for internal transfer. AEM is a special major that is part of the Dyson school. you cannot just switch majors.

and first of all it is the same acceptance rate for internal transfers as it is for externals so you would not have a better chance. In fact, the likelihood of you doing better at Cornell and then trying to do an internal transfer is low.

Not to mention your essay of why you want to major in bio would be terrible because you don’t even want to do that. it would have no passion and you would likely be rejected.
