Cornell CAS ED Chance

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I am a junior at a private college prep school in Florida. I will be applying to the
Cornell College of Arts and Science Early Decision next year.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9 (on a 4.0 scale)
ACT: 32 Composite (34 English, 33 math, 32 reading, 29 science)
Subject Test / APs Test have not been taken yet. (assume 700+ and 4/5)</p>

<p>I think that your chances are excellent. One caveat, though. These elite colleges tend to be very liberal, so I would low-key the Republican Club stuff if I were you.</p>

<p>I would not listen to that advice. Such colleges will welcome students with diverse views to enrich the voices and perspectives on campus. Showing you get involved when you care about something is always a good thing. And just think, if they truly get 25 young democrat applications that day you will truly stand out. </p>

<p>^ Yeah, top schools definitely want to differentiate their school’s views. Any other people want to chance?</p>
