If you are not a native speaker, then I think you have a real good shot as long as trend in grades is sharply upward. If you have spoken English all your life, those grades will require a much better explanatin than a high school transfer issue.

I'm not a native speaker my trend in grades is not sharply upward(no C's) but I took harder and harder classes as I moved up grades. Can anyone else share their opinions?

b u m p

b u m p o

what does bump mean? Anyways, you have a good chance. I have a friend whos here who came to the US from korea when she was a frosh in high school. Make sure to concentrate all your essays on what your intended major is. Don't worry about class rank. When I got my class rank I thought I wasn't gonna get in ANYWHERE cause i was the 15th percent in my class... But i got in here ED.. GOOD LUCK!

bump = bring up my post

id say you have a great chance, the only thing is grades. Top 20% isnt too bad, as long as you have good essays.

Thanks, I feel better after getting told by someone else that my chances are around 10%. I guess nobody really knows my exact chances, but then how would they? (Rhetorical question). If you do know, give me some comments, haha. I'm prepared to be disappointed again. =P

B + u + m + p
