My only "bad"(not horrible, but worse than other years by a lot) year was freshmen year to do a head injury and I missed a lot of school, but my counselor is explaining that in a separate letter.

The schools I am applying to are:
Cornell Engineering (ED): Reach?
Carnegie Mellon Univ. Institute of Technology (RD): Maybe?
UVA Engineering (RD): I'm hoping b/c I am in state
Virginia Tech Engineering (RD): Confident

Also, the county I live in has one of the best public school systems in the country, Fairfax County, if that helps.

What do you think (please respond), thanks, i hope i didn't forget anything.

gosh... this is so messed up....... stop trying to attract attention won't work :D.... i dunno about ur chances.... youll figure out ur chances after december 10th...

Your attitude is ... kind of obnoxious. I would work on that if I were you. It tends to seep through applications and certainly can be a turnoff in interviews. A little humility wouldn't hurt, give it a try.

all i am asking for is a yes no or maybe, b/c i am nervous and completely unsure and really really love cornell, i did not intend to appear obnoxious, and I can't figure out how you construed it to that meaning, unless you are going by the title line, well sorry, i had posted other times and got no replies, so i thought this might help, anyways, please, if you care to, give a decision type feedback, my opinion is that it is a reach, but i am not sure how big, thanks again

I was going to give you feedback but I won't since your post isn't "unbelievable" as your title of the post suggests

i didn't mean i was unbelievable, i am now regretting those words, the only reason i put that phrase was so fellow students like you would want to see what was so unbelievable, and once at the page, the viewer could give his/her opinions, the very fact that i created this post for feedback, suggests that i do not feel i am unbelievable and am indeed in doubt, and just looking for help, i did it to attract attention to the viewer, then once the attention was attracted, i hoped that the viewer could view it, and give an honest feedback, i did not intend to imply that i was unbelievable, with that said, any feedback which might help me

You guys schould chill out. A little humor can't hurt.

breaath innnn ............... breaathe out....

well psquared, I have similar stats like u, except u got a higher SAT, and im an international. It think that if we try and determine ur chances, we'll in fact be giving u nothing, or might even hurt u, because most of us are amateurs, and have no idea about the admission system in such unis. Not trying to discourage u or anything, but take what we all say with a pinch of salt.

Tha's cool, i had kindof giving up already and assumed that, thanks for the input. Good luck to you.

do you think people have less of a chance getting accepted if they select "undecided" as their major because it may show lack of focus blah blah blah...

It might, especially if in one of the essays you wrote about how you will do blah and blah in that school within Cornell, and then they will wonder if what you wrote you really meant. However, I don't think any student knows the answer to that, you would probably have to ask someone who has done admissions and the response that application recieved by the admissions comittee when they went over it. However again, if you are a strong enough applicant it shouldn't even matter, if you feel you are borderline, where many people put themselves, it might hurt, but I do not know, ask an admissions dean.
