@Jeffy0427 I personally do not believe that an institution would do such a thing.
I mean if it were the case everybody would know that they are accepted/rejected the moment when they received the email.
Well, we don’t do any tax returns so at least in my case it would be irrelevant to send such an email.
Yeah @mrtplt I don’t think they would. I am just freaking out
@mrtplt Please… all 4 students who applied for Cornell in our school, including myself didn’t received any emails related to FA…:((
Guess none of us got in then…
My email story: I had financial aid to do items on my list. I turned them in. They then needed information because of my parents divorce and how they split the items. So I think it was because my financial situation was weirder than some
@Jeffy0427 Did you apply last year or this year?
@mrtplt THis year
@bruceyboy I’m assuming thats for the class of 2019?
@Jeffy0427 Well actually all I can say is “we’ll see” as we don’t know how admissions officers figure those things out
However, my personal opinion is that they are sending emails only to the ones that they need more information about. (Such as the divorce situation)
Cornell is the only school that I didn’t apply together with my 6 year long girlfriend, so i get in, i get seperated from her and if i dont get in then i get rejected from my dream school. There’s just no winning #dontwannabemetonight
I’ve heard some people say you can actually know the decision results even before the releasing time by looking at your common app ED agreement status… If it only says submitted, then it is likely that you didn’t get in… Can somebody tell me if this is true?
My counsellor ED agreement has been downloaded, my parent ED hasn’t. I don’t think it means anything.
@polyglot05 I don’t think this is true because my ED agreement was downloaded October 26th, so wayy before they even looked at my application I would guess.
@polyglot05 my ED agreement says downloaded and not submitted.
does anyones commonapp ED agreement status say downloaded?
there are two ed agreements, which one are yall talking about??
parent
Ohh my bad, my parent agreement still says “submitted”
Not true, D has LL and her CA says submitted. Good luck.
How do you even check the status of the ED agreement? Also, I haven’t received any email from the Financial Aid office, and I can still login to the Self Service system, does that mean I’m rejected/deferred already?
