I’m crying so hard right now. I got accepted into CAS!!!
@gearsstudio I believe it’s either architecture or arts and science or something like that
@CCSenioritis Guy on the results thread, what, what’s he done? BTW nice to see you again, I see you changed your username!!! I can’t believe you didn’t get in, you had better stats than me!!! Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll get in RD…use this time to boost your GPA and ACT/SAT scores!!!
@ArthurDent42 Yeah haha my confidentiality got questioned by some people IRL lol. CONGRATS ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE!!! I def plan on boosting my scores this weekend hopefully. Enjoy your success you’ve earned it!
got deferred from humec
is there really still a chance since RD pool is more people with more competition?
@CCSenioritis Thanks, see you in 2020!!
I hope so haha! @ArthurDent42
I was deferred, but I’m surprisingly o.k. with it. Of course I’m disappointed seeing my friends make their “accepted” posts, but I also know that the reasons behind their acceptances were things beyond my control, so I’ve come to terms with it.
I am happy though to have a second chance at Cornell. I will certainly be correcting some of the mistakes I made early on in my ED app. and send in some of the awards that I forgot to tell them about.
I think it’d be a good idea to start a deferred students thread since there are so many of us!
Accepted to CALS for food science! Anyone else?
I’m not the only one who got deferred, but I feel like i’m the only one who applied to IARD (international agriculture and rural development) @ CALS. Can anyone confirm?
To all who got deferred, I earnestly believe and hope you guys will make it in the RD round. You guys have been extremely supportive and I wish the best best best of luck to y’all. Keep those hopes high and never give up. You guys deserve it.
@CornMine Preach it!
deferred. If you add an A,C,C,keep the E, add a P,T,A,N,C, keep the E IT SPELLS ACCEPTANCE.
Wow im so blessed for this moment. Thank you cornell.
I got accepted! Couldn’t be more grateful. Congrats to everyone else who got in and good luck to everyone who was deferred!
So what is the real ED acceptance rate? We know that last year’s 14% acceptance rate consisted of about 10% for RD and 26% for ED. If you exclude recruited athletes from ED and assume a big acceptance rate for ED legacies, I hear that the ED rate for non-recruits and non-legacies is not too far from the school average of 14%.
Deferred from ILR. I was pretty upset until I saw all the positivity on this thread. Congrats to everyone who was accepted! Best of luck and hope that after RD I can call you my classmates!
@dprice386 Cornell is very stingy with its admission stats for ED. If they do what they did last year, they won’t be posted for a long time.
deferred coe. :(( i feel like theres no more chance. anyone have stats for deferred applicants? Congrats to all who got in.
I keep looking at the portal expecting it to change…
Rejected from CoE. That was brutal… I was expecting at least a deferral :-S
