Hey guys, a few pages back @icybal99 posted about receiving a letter from ILR. Do these letters indicate anything? I’m starting to get nervous as I don’t think I’ve gotten anything (I have received a few random emails from Cornell) in the mail (my parents probably would’ve said something tbh). If you haven’t received anything, is it a bad sign? Am I already rejected? ?

Applied to COE-Mechanical Engineering. One of the comments in the earlier portion of this thread refers to matching your ECs with yout intended major. I have an interests in thermodynamics and green engineering. Can’t think of any ECs I couldve undertaken to show my interest in Mech engineering except for environmental conservation stuff( for the time being-which I have done) Can you guys please share your thoughts on this? Would really appreciate your views. Thanks a ton ^:)^
Anybody have any idea when financial aid notifications usually come around?

@Rahulbarcafan Robotics. I have a friend who plans on majoring in mechanical engineering and he is the lead of the mechanical team in the school’s robotics club.
@NICE8x True. But a large part of Mechanical engineering is thermodynamics - which to be fair is very basic till the 12th grade in India.

@arulster I messed up one of my pictures in my portfolio with the dimensions, instead of saying one of my projects was 150cm by 45cm I said 150 meters by 45 meters so I’m pretty sure I’m not getting accepted lol. Only realized till after I sumbitted.
So much for Internet connection cutting off the last few hours before the deadline and I had to wake my friend up at 4am to get it done :S
Has anyone from CAS heard anything since submittig the application? It seems like the other colleges are doing more to contact applicants

Yeah, they really aren’t emailing us… Guess we’ll have to wait for Dec 10th
If they’ve reviewed your application, do you think they will reconsider when new scores come in? Deciding if I should ask them if they received november scores.
Probably they will not. They are having very tight schedule to evaluate thousands of applications within time limit.
Hmm…I wonder whether Cornell sends out likely letters to ED applicants…

It is a few weeks wait unlike the months in regular.

@FZM777 FA awards come out about a week to 10 days after you have been accepted if you have submitted all of your info on time.
So I really tried to look through the past 64 pages and I dont think this was mentioned?? If i already sent in my Q1 grades, how would it show up on my application status page? bc it doesnt explicitly say that they’ve received my Q1

@AutoFire no I havent gotten the email so I’m kind of assuming they got it since my counselor said she sent it… and they were pretty good haha I didnt have too much work for Q1
